The Associazione “La Filera” and the Municipality of Castelnuovo Belbo invite you to the first edition of “Danza e Musica Sotto le Stelle”, which will be held in Castelnuovo Belbo (AT), Piazza del Municipio, on July 1st & 2nd 2023, from 6.00 pm.

On Saturday July 1st, the students of the Liceo Musicale “A. Monti” in Asti and the students of the dance school “Danz’Asti” will present a show entitled “Accordi – Ritmi tra musica e danza”.

Conceived by their teachers, the representation was created by the pupils themselves, as part of a project on which they worked throughout the 2022-2023 school year.

On Sunday July 2nd, 2023, the duo Paolo Zampini on flute and Primo Oliva on piano will perform in a concert entitled “Omaggio a Ennio Morricone” proposing a program by the Masters Ennio Morricone and Claude Bolling.

Formed in 2002 in the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Florence, where both were teachers of their instrument, the duo has held over 500 concerts, receiving warm acclaim from the public and critics.

Among their many experiences we remember that Paolo Zampini has been Ennio Morricone’s flautist since 1985, Primo Oliva is an honorary member of New York University as well as a prestigious composer.

The representation of a show, in its full complexity and articulation, constitutes the culmination of the artistic-cultural training path of every musician. The Liceo Musicale Monti aims at training the theoretical and practical skills required to plan, organize and represent an artistic performance of a high profile.

The goal of the Danz’Asti school is to follow each student with great care, directing them towards the discipline for which they are best suited, by following a training program full of alternatives, because today more than ever the secret of a dancer lies in the versatility between different styles.

“Ritmi tra Musica e Danza” includes an excursus in different musical genres, from jazz to electronics via rock, in a constant dialogue between sound and dance gesture.

Omaggio a Ennio Morricone

Sunday, July 2nd, 2023

Created by Paolo Zampini and Primo Oliva

Graduated under the guidance of illustrious Masters, musically raised in the Academic fields, but ready to experiment with every musical genre (Pop, Blues, Contemporary Music) the duo Zampini Oliva stands out in proposing uncommon repertoires.

In 2003 they recorded live Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio. In 2010 Andrea Morricone dedicated a series of compositions to them, which the duo presented in various concerts throughout Italy, up to the prestigious ‘Festival della Centrale di Montemartini’ in Rome, recorded by Rai.

Their musical activity, even outside the Duo, is of great artistic value.
